Cancellation & Refund Policy

Cancellation and Refund Policy

In the event of cancellation due to any reasons, whether avoidable or unavoidable, please notify us in writing. Cancellation charges will be applicable from the date we receive written advice, and they are as follows:

  • 30 days before arrival: 30% of the tour cost retained
  • 15 days before arrival: 50% of the tour cost retained
  • 7 days before arrival: 70% of the tour cost retained
  • Less than 7 days or No Show: 100% of the tour cost retained

Special Trains Journeys and peak season hotel bookings may have a separate cancellation policy, which will be communicated when required.

Refund Guidelines

If you cancel the trip after commencement, refunds will be limited and subject to the amount recoverable from the hoteliers/contractors we engage. Unused hotel accommodations, chartered transportation, or missed meals won’t be eligible for refunds. Refunds for unused or canceled services will be processed based on the aforementioned cancellation policy, and the refund will be credited to the original payer. Please note that the refund process might take 2-4 weeks due to banking procedures. Any bank charges for refunds to credit cards or bank accounts will be deducted from the refunded amount.

Spending Money

Each traveler has unique spending habits. Please consider your preferences for drinks, shopping, optional activities, and tipping when planning your trip. Additionally, prepare an emergency fund of USD $200 for unforeseen incidents or circumstances beyond our control that might necessitate a change in the planned itinerary.

Liabilities and Limitations

Following the finalization of the Tour/Service Cost, any increases in entrance fees, taxes, fuel costs, or guide charges by the Government of India will be charged additionally (if applicable). Travocation acts as an agent for hotels, airlines, transporters, railways, and service contractors. All documents issued by us are subject to terms and conditions set by these service providers. Itineraries are sample schedules; changes may occur due to weather, road conditions, or participants’ abilities. We reserve the right to alter schedules for the safety, comfort, and well-being of trip participants.

We are not liable for delays, expenses, losses, injuries, damages, or any issues related to accommodation, transportation, or services due to circumstances beyond our control. Visitors are advised to arrange insurance for accidents, sickness, theft, or any other contingencies in their home country. All baggage and personal belongings are at the client’s risk.

Please note: Credit card payments are accepted only if the cardholder or one of the cardholders from the group is touring India.
