At 6:30 AM — or between 6:30 and 7:00 AM depending on how far your hotel is from the station — our chauffeur will arrive at your preferred location in Delhi, Noida, or Gurgaon in a private AC vehicle and drive you to Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station — the departure point for the Gatimaan Express.

Your train tickets will have been pre-booked and confirmed — either sent to your email in advance or handed to you by our representative at the station. Your chauffeur will guide you to the correct platform and make sure you are comfortably seated in your pre-booked coach before the train departs.

At 8:10 AM, the Gatimaan Express pulls out of Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and begins its journey south toward Agra.

9:50 AM — Arrive at Agra Cantonment Railway Station

The Gatimaan Express arrives at Agra Cantonment Railway Station at approximately 9:50 AM.

Late Morning — Agra Fort

After the Taj Mahal, your guide will take you to Agra Fort — a monument that surprises almost every visitor with its scale, its architectural brilliance, and the extraordinary human drama contained within its walls.

Built across the reigns of three Mughal emperors — Akbar, Jahangir, and Shah Jahan — Agra Fort served as the political and military capital of the most powerful empire on earth at its peak. Its red sandstone walls stretch nearly 2.5 kilometres around a world of palaces, mosques, audience halls, ornamental gardens, and sweeping views of the Taj Mahal from across the Yamuna River.

The fort's most haunting corner is the Musamman Burj — the octagonal marble tower where Emperor Shah Jahan spent the last eight years of his life imprisoned by his own son Aurangzeb. From this window, he could see the Taj Mahal he had built for his wife. He died here in 1666, gazing at it. Your guide will take you to that window. Afternoon — Lunch in Agra

After a full morning at two of India's greatest UNESCO monuments, your driver will take you to one of Agra's finest air-conditioned multi-cuisine restaurants for a proper sit-down lunch — authentic Mughal cuisine, freshly prepared, in a clean and comfortable setting.

Afternoon — Itimad-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj)

After lunch, your guide will take you to Itimad-ud-Daulah — known as the Baby Taj, and one of the most beautiful and most underappreciated monuments in all of India.

Built in 1622 by Empress Nur Jahan as a tribute to her father Mirza Ghiyas Beg — a Persian nobleman who rose to become Chief Minister of the Mughal Empire — this mausoleum represents the most important turning point in Mughal architectural history. It was the first monument to be built entirely in white marble. It was also the first to use pietra dura — the breathtaking technique of setting precious and semi-precious stones directly into the marble surface in intricate floral and geometric patterns.

Without the Baby Taj, there may have been no Taj Mahal. The techniques developed here were scaled up and perfected to create the greatest monument on earth. Smaller, quieter, and far less crowded than its famous successor, Itimad-ud-Daulah is a monument that rewards those who look closely.

Late Afternoon — Agra's Famous Crafts (If Time Permits)

Agra is not only famous for its monuments. The city has been a centre of extraordinary craftsmanship for over 400 years — marble inlay work using the same pietra dura techniques developed for the Taj Mahal, intricate zardozi embroidery, hand-knotted rugs, and fine leather goods.

If time allows before your return train, your guide can take you to see these traditional crafts being made — a rare glimpse into the living artisan heritage of the Mughal city. As the saying goes: when you leave Agra, you leave the art behind.

5:50 PM — Board the Gatimaan Express Back to Delhi

At 5:50 PM, your chauffeur will drive you back to Agra Cantonment Railway Station in time to board the Gatimaan Express for the return journey to Delhi. Your seat is pre-booked — just settle in.
